Interfering busybodies and why we need the ' Fifth Amendment' in India

For many people not familiar with the culture of India, it would come as a shock to realise that your friends, neighbours, office workers, or the man on the street, want to know every detail of your life, right down to the nitty-gritty, even if it has no relevance to them...

Most irritating, especially when growing up would be idiotic stuff like, what one wants to do, once you grew up, etc.; Sometimes, you felt like just replying that if the person asking the question had grown up, they would not be asking such idiotic questions :)

Every marriage that one attended after attaining marriageable age (can be anything, there are no limits :P ) to the time before one actually got married (if ever), would lead to the inevitable question, as to when one was getting hitched.

In all the above cases, it would be wonderful, if we had, that so American of ideas and say, I'm sorry, I plead the fifth on this one :D, instead of thinking in your mind about telling the questioner as to what they could do with their question and where they could put it :D

In response to The Daily Post's writing prompt: "Plead the Fifth."
